BERNARDSVILLE -- The Bernardsville Public Library will host an exhibit titled "Animal Spirit: The Birds and Beasts of Beth Lowell" during the month of April.

Lowell, a Morristown resident, said "I'm inspired by what lies just beyond the seemingly apparent, for instance, what a dog is really thinking, or the wide spectrum of colors you can see if you look closely in reflections and shadows."

Among her affiliations are memberships in the Canine Art Guild, the American Artists Professional League and the Pastel Society of America.

An opening reception for the show will be held April 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the library at 1 Anderson Hill Road in Bernardsville. The paintings will be on display through April 28 during regular library hours.
