The day before the sale volunteers who work more than 30 hours and sign up to work at least two days of the sale are allowed to shop.
"I've lost my mind in cheap jewelry," said Tori O'Connell a 23-year volunteer at the rummage sale.
O'Connell likes clip on ear rings and there is a "bazillion" for sale. "They bring me a lot of joy," she said with a big smile on her face.
About 20,000 shoppers are expected over the three day event and all proceeds benefit the Visiting Nurses Association of Somerset Hills.
