Tigger was surrendered to the shelter when his owner became ill.
FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP -- Tigger is a 2-year-old tabby at the Franklin Township Animal Shelter who was surrendered to the facility when his owner became ill.
Shelter volunteers report that when he first arrived he was "the most accomplished escape artist in the shelter."
Tigger no longer tries to get away; he is sociable and playful.
He has been neutered and is up-to-date on shots.
To meet Tigger and other adoptable pets, visit the shelter at 475 DeMott Lane in Somerset, Franklin Township. The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from noon to 3 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. There are currently 30 pets being cared for at the shelter.
