The woman faces second-degree sexual assault charges, according to an affidavit filed in Somerset County Superior Court.
SOMERVILLE -- A borough woman has been arrested and charged with second-degree sexual assault of a 13-year-old boy, according to an affidavit filed in Somerset County Superior Court.
Kimberly Floyd, 21, was also charged with third-degree endangering the welfare of a child in incidents that allegedly took place between April 27 and May 4.
On May 4 at approximately 10:56 p.m., Floyd reportedly came to police headquarters to report allegations made against her by a family member. While being interviewed by police, she is alleged to have initially said she had kissed a teen she thought was 18, but learned subsequently was under 18, it was stated in the affidavit.
During further questioning, she allegedly admitted to having oral sex with the teen, even after learning he was under 18, according to the affidavit. When interviewed by police, the teen reportedly said Floyd never forced him to engage in a sexual act against his will, it was also stated in the affidavit.
The teen also allegedly told police he initially lied to Floyd about his age; a few days later telling her he was 14, according to the affidavit. Floyd allegedly continued to engage in oral sex with the teen even after learning he was under 18, it was stated in the affidavit.
No bail information was available as of Wednesday.
