Route 206 in Montgomery Township is closed because of an accident on June 14, 2016.
MONTGOMERY TWP. - Route 206 is closed in both directions Tuesday morning near Belle Mead-Griggstown Road because of an accident involving a truck, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The accident was reported shortly before 7:45 a.m. According to township police, a truck struck a pole, bringing down power lines across Route 206. As of 10:15 a.m., the highway remains closed between Harlingen and Griggstown roads.
There are delays on northbound Route 206 back to Sunset Road and on southbound Route 206 to Amwell Road in Hillsborough Township. Delays of 10 to 15 minutes are being reported in the area. Delays are also being reported on Belle Mead-Blawenburg Road.
No power outages are being reported as of 8:15 a.m.
