Police said they also took two cars, drugs and $6,000 in cash.
PLAINFIELD -- Officers arrested 20 people and seized four handguns and drugs in two home raids this month, city police said.
At 6 a.m. on June 7, Plainfield officers and members of the Union County Prosecutor's Office seized two guns, drugs and packaging materials from two apartments at 211 Richmond St., police Director Carl Riley said.
He said 15 people were arrested and charged with possession of a handgun, committing a drug offense while in possession of a handgun, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and distribution of marijuana with intent to distribute 500 feet from public housing.
The following Plainfield residents were arrested in connection with the raid, Riley said: Lisa Moore (53), Kamilah Moore (25), Kamall Moore (23), Charrod Jamal Wilson (25), Raykeem Lee McNeill (20), Malcolm Lucas (20), Darlene Lucas (55), Fracell Thomas Beal (20), Tyeisha Monique Lucas (18) and Rasheeda Jasmine Grant (26), Devon Paul Hammond (22), Kevin Scott Green (56), Robert Louis Stevenson, Jr. (51), Sylvia Graves (58).
Riley said Francisco Diaz, a 42-year-old North Plainfield resident, was also arrested.
Officers conducted a second drug investigation in the 1000 block of Park Avenue at 4:30 p.m. on June 20 and seized two loaded guns, marijuana, two cars and $6,556, Riley said. He said five people were arrested on drug- or weapons-related charges.
Riley said the following people were arrested June 20: Nickoy S. Senior, Neojoe Lughas, Elijah Q Mitchell, Dajuan J. Franklin and Javaughn A. Travers.
Police said no further information was available.
