RARITAN -- A New York woman was arrested Wednesday on prostitution charges after she propositioned an undercover detective at a Raritan massage parlor during a sting operation, authorities said.
Meiyue Piao, 52, of Flushing, New York was arrested while working at the Healing Hands Massage Parlor on Thompson Street, acting Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson said Thursday.
Piao offered to perform a sexual act on the detective in exchange for cash, authorities said. Following the offer of sex, additional detectives entered the business and arrested Piao, authorities said.
Piao was charged with one count of prostitution, a disorderly persons offense, and released on her own recognizance pending a July 11 court date.
