SOMERVILLE -- A Hillsborough man pleaded guilty to charges stemming from sexually assaulting a girl for seven years and was sentenced to 18 months in Somerset County Superior Court on Friday.
Moises Ramirez, 41, allegedly sexually assaulted the girl from when she was 5 years old through age 12.
Ramirez was indicted last July on second-degree sexual assault and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Under his plea agreement, the second-degree sexual assault charge was dismissed and the second-degree endangering the welfare of a child charge was dropped to a fourth-degree child abuse and neglect charge before Somerset County Superior Court Judge Kathy C. Qasim.
On June 11, 2015, police received information about the possible sexual assault of the victim, authorities previously stated.
