BRIDGEWATER -- The 69th Somerset County 4-H fair opened at the North Branch Park Fairgrounds on Milltown Road.

Cindy, a mixed-breed rabbit, received a kiss as the rabbit judging started.

Ariel Staffin and her sister Alanna Staffin climbed to the top of the big tent to place the American flag as the three daylong event started under cloudy skies.

"It's totally about the kids," said Harry Brochinsky, president of the Somerset County 4H Association.
