HILLSBOROUGH - The ninth annual Hillsborough Rotary Fair opens Tuesday at 6 p.m. next to Lowe's in the Hillsborough Promenade center off Route 206.
"The grounds have been groomed, the amusement rides have started to arrive, and the transformation begins from an open lot to the best fair in Somerset County," wrote John Shockley on the Hillsborough Rotary Club's website. "It's been a busy winter for Majestic Midways. They have purchased new rides with names like Alien Abduction. They didn't forget the children under 42 inches. A new Toddlers Zone will be open, which includes a Monster Truck Ride."
The popular wristband nights, where visitors can pay one price and ride all night long, are on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. There will also be a fireworks show on Friday night.
Fair hours are 6-10 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 6-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2-7 p.m. Sunday.
Organizers said there will be new food vendors this year as well.
