The 30-year-old Providence resident will spend at least 10 years in prison
A Rhode Island man admits he brought a 14-year-old runaway to a hotel in Somerset County to force her into prostitution.
Paul J. Monteiro of Providence has agreed to plead guilty to one count of sex trafficking of a minor at a Sept. 8 hearing, according to ProJo.com.
He is expected to be sentenced to at least 10 years in prison.
The two, who met on Facebook through a mutual acquaintance, were found at hotel room at an Extended Stay America hotel in the Somerset section of Franklin Township, the report said.
Authorities located the girl by tracking a ping on her cell phone after questioning another person she met on Facebook.
The victim had been reported missing from a group home four months before the FBI, agents from Homeland Security and local cops arrested Monteiro.
