FRANKLIN -- A 73-year-old township woman suffered minor burns to her arm and nose in a fire at her home, police said.
A 911 call reporting the fire on Honeyman Street was made around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Franklin Township Police Sgt. Philip Rizzo said, and when emergency responders arrived they found "heavy smoke and fire" coming from the back of the house.

Two people, one of whom was not injured, evacuated the home before first responders arrived, Rizzo said, and the 73-year-old woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Rizzo said the fire apparently started in the chimney and spread through the house, which has been deemed uninhabitable.
