QuickChek Corporation raised $163,002 to help support post-9/11 service members and their families thanks to a recent in-store donation program and a charity golf outing.

WHITEHOUSE STATION - QuickChek Corporation raised $163,002 in four weeks to help support post-9/11 service members and their families thanks to a recent in-store donation program and a charity golf outing.

Customers were invited to purchase dog-tag shaped magnets for $1 to benefit Hope For The Warriors, a non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the quality of life for post-9/11 service members, their families and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty, according to a news release. A total of 110,000 dog tags were purchased.

In addition, more than 100 golfers participated in an outing at the Hillsborough Golf & Country Club in Hillsborough to raise additional funds for the organization.

"We're pleased to continue to honor and support our service members and their families who give so much of themselves," said QuickChek Chief Executive Officer Dean Durling.

"It has been an inspiration to see this partnership grow the way it has and to see in so many ways the commitment of the QuickChek team in supporting our veterans," said McKinney, community development manager for Hope for the Warriors. "QuickChek's generosity means the world to us and allows us to support so many who have served."

This is the third year in a row QuickChek has run this promotion, which ran from May 7 to June 4. The company raised $92,000 for Hope for the Warriors last year and $75,000 in 2014.

"We are very proud of our customers who strongly support our efforts to give back to the communities we serve," Durling said. "It is a reflection of our being a welcome part of the neighborhoods where we have store locations and recognition of our total commitment and dedication to our customers."
