N.J. man suffered serious head injuries.
BERNARDS -- A pedestrian who suffered serious head injuries after he was struck by a motor vehicle Thursday in the Basking Ridge section of the township has died, Lt. Mark Leopold, spokesman for the township police, said Friday in a news release.
The victim has been identified as Beom Sohn, 56, of Basking Ridge, the release said. He died of his injuries Thursday night, according to police.
At approximately 8:24 a.m. Thursday, Sohn was struck on Liberty Ridge Road by the driver of a 2008 Toyota SUV, the release said. The State Police NorthStar medevac flew the victim to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, the release said.
Bicyclist serverely injured in fall
The accident remains under investigation and the name of the driver of the vehicle is being withheld pending the outcome of the investigation, according to the release.
