BRIDGEWATER -- A township man was killed Sunday night when he was struck by two vehicles as he was walking on the westbound side of Route 22, township police spokesman Lt. Michael J. Maxwell confirmed Monday.
The accident occurred at approximately 11:02 p.m. near North Adamsville Road when Marcus Cook, 25, was walking in the left travel lane on Route 22 and was hit by a 2008 Nissan driven by a 29-year-old Somerville man, police said.
Cook was struck a second time by a 2016 Lexus driven by a 19-year-old woman from the Martinsville section of the township, according to the release.
The investigation of the crash is ongoing and is being handled by the Bridgewater Traffic Safety Bureau and the Somerset County Accident Reconstruction Team.
