Crown Veterinary Specialists will host monthly support circles on the second Tuesday of each month
LEBANON -- To help pet owners manage the grief that comes with the death of a pet as well as provide support for those caring for ill or aging pets, Crown Veterinary Specialists is introducing a free pet-loss support program beginning Feb. 14.
In partnership with the nonprofit organization Day By Day Pet Caregivers Support, Crown will host monthly support circles on the second Tuesday of each month from 7 to 8 p.m. at its hospital in at 23 Blossom Hill Road in Lebanon.
"Pets are a source of unconditional love and joy, and we understand the grief and stress that can accompany caring for an ill or aging pet and the sorrow of ultimately having to say goodbye," said Wendy Ross a board-certified veterinary surgeon and CEO of Crown. "Losing a pet is like losing a family member."
The monthly support group is supplemented by Day By Day's free services that include a 24/7 telephone hotline and online support group chats.
