Mike Aktari was the former boyfriend of Olivia Blois Sharpe, one of the leads of the reality show, which filmed at the Gatsby Salon in Green Brook
Mike Aktari, a former cast member on "Jerseylicious," a reality show based in and around the Gatsby Salon in Green Brook, has died, TMZ reports.
In the show, which aired from 2010 to 2013 on the former Style Network (now Esquire Network), Aktari, a personal trainer from Westbury, N.Y. also known as Milad, was the boyfriend and ex-boyfriend of two leads in the series, makeup artist Olivia Blois Sharpe and stylist Tracy DiMarco. The salon pair's running feud and constant clashing was a key source of drama in the series.
TMZ reports Aktari, 28, died Monday in Westbury and that the cause of his death is pending toxicology tests.
Blois Sharpe, 29, posted two photo tributes to her ex-boyfriend on Instagram.
"My heart has never hurt this hard," she wrote. "I wouldn't trade those three years we spent together for the world."
"Our time here is so valuable and limited," the former "Jerseylicious" star continued, in another post. "If there is someone who has a part of your heart, no matter what has transpired in the past, no matter what the situation might be..LET THEM KNOW how much they mean to you. Milad takes a piece of my heart with him."
Aktari's Facebook page is filled with photos of the couple. A Twitter account for Aktari's name links to his Internet Movie Database page -- which highlights his role on the reality series -- and photos he shared on a private Instagram account.
