BERKELEY HEIGHTS - An accident involving a tractor-trailer and two vehicles on eastbound Interstate 78 left one person injured on Tuesday, State Police said.
The accident was reported just after 10:45 a.m. east of exit 41 (Dale Road) near the Watchung border. State Police and the state Department of Transportation said the left and center lanes of eastbound Interstate 78 were closed for about an hour, with delays of up to 10 minutes being reported.
No additional information about the injured driver was available on Tuesday.
The accident comes a day after a fatal crash on eastbound Interstate 78 in Hunterdon County. In that accident, a Warren County man driving a Ford Focus died after striking the rear of a tractor-trailer parked on the side of the expressway.
