Two Warren County men have been charged in connection with the armed robbery of a Warren Township (Somerset County) convenience store at gunpoint in March, Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson said.

WARREN - Authorities have arrested two men in connection with the armed robbery of a township convenience store at gunpoint last month, Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson said Tuesday.

Frank E. Kline, 52, and David B. Domanski, 53, both of Washington Township in Warren County, are in custody.

On March 26 at approximately 8:39 p.m., township police received a 9-1-1 call reporting an armed robbery at Krauszer's on Stirling Road, it was previously reported.

An employee told police a man entered the store and immediately walked toward the employee with a handgun, demanding money, police said.

Reward offered in Warren Township armed robbery

During the course of this investigation, Washington Township Police contacted Warren Township Police detectives and told them that Kline fit the description of the suspect they were looking for, and that he was also a suspect in a similar type of incident, it was stated in the release.

On Thursday, detectives from Warren Township, Long Hill Township and Washington Township began watching Kline and confirmed that he matched the physical description of the suspect shown in still photos obtained from the Krauszer's store surveillance cameras, authorities said.

Kline was also wearing the same clothing he wore during the armed robbery, police said.

Later that day, at approximately 5:30 p.m., police apprehended Kline in Phillipsburg and he was taken to the Washington Township Police Department headquarters for questioning, according to the release.

Shortly thereafter, authorities executed a search warrant at Kline's residence. An investigation revealed that Domanski was also involved in the armed robbery, according to police.

That night, after Domanski was arrested, both were charged with one count of first-degree armed robbery and one count of second degree unlawful possession of a firearm, police said.

Both defendants are being held in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.

The Crime Stoppers of Somerset County had offered a $250 reward in the case.
