LONG HILL -- Two men were arrested this week in connection with the armed robbery of a convenience store in Long Hill in February, authorities said.
Frank E. Kline, 52, and David B. Domanski, 53, both of Washington Township, Warren County, were both charged with first-degree robbery and conspiracy, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Long Hill Police Chief Michael Mazzeo said in a news release.
Kline and Domanski have also been charged in connection with the robbery of a Krauszer's Food Store in Somerset County, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office.
Knapp and Mazzeo said the robber entered Country Farms convenience store in the Millington section of Long Hill on Feb. 25. The robber then pointed a handgun towards the clerk, demanded money and fired one round in the direction of the clerk. The clerk then handed over the money before the robber fled.
No injuries were reported, they said.
Authorities previously said a man wearing camouflage-style military clothing robbed the store at gunpoint.
Besides the robbery and conspiracy charges, Kline also faces two counts of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purposes, Knapp and Mazzeo said.
Kline and Domanski were remanded to the Somerset County jail pending a detention hearing, authorities said.
Investigators from Morris County Prosecutor's Office, the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office, and police departments in Long Hill, Warren Township and Washington Township (Warren County) worked together to identify Kline and Domanski as suspects, Knapp and Mazzeo said.
