GLEN GARDNER - After a game that went back and forth until the final quarter, Voorhees beat Bernards, 5-6, on Thursday in overtime.
The win gives the Vikings their second overtime victory in less than a week. The team previously beat Scotch Plains-Fanwood 5-4.
"They're resilient," said Voorhees coach Nicholas Perkalis. "It's the kids' attitude. They're all great kids. They believe in the system and they believe they can do it. And they do it, and that's where it all starts. They don't settle. They don't settle for an OT loss or a fourth quarter loss, and they take it to the end and get it done."
