The president tweets he didn't want to cause 'big disruptions' by staying in New York City
BEDMINSTER -- President Donald Trump says he will save Americans money and people in New York headaches by spending the weekend in New Jersey instead of New York City.
That's according to a tweet fired off by Trump just after 9 a.m. Friday, in which he said he'll spend the weekend working out of his "home in Bedminster" instead of "causing a big disruption in N.Y.C."
Rather than causing a big disruption in N.Y.C., I will be working out of my home in Bedminster, N.J. this weekend. Also saves country money!

The president arrived at Trump National Golf Club shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday after spending the evening in Manhattan.
New York City spends an estimated $308,000 for every day the president is there, according to Reuters. It'll cost about $37,000 for each three-day weekend he stays at Trump National in Bedminster, according to a recent Patch story.
Bedminster will be eligible to be reimbursed by the federal government for security-related expenses paid out during the president's visits.
Township police said earlier this week there could be temporary road closures at any time.
In addition, there will be flight restrictions in a 30-mile area of airspace in the Morristown and Bedminster region from Friday to Sunday, according to a notice posted by the Federal Aviation Administration.
Trump spent part of Thursday evening meeting with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.

While Trump tweeted that he'll be working, since taking office in January he's spent plenty of time playing golf on frequent weekend visits to Mar-A-Lago, his Palm Beach, Fla. resort.
If Trump wants to hit the links, Sunday will be the best day as rain is expected Friday and Saturday.
