Registration is under way for the fourth annual Freedom House 5K Run & Walk, taking place on Saturday at Spruce Run Recreation Area.
All proceeds benefit the men and women residents of Freedom House, according to a news release. The program helps those with substance use disorders get treatment even if they do not have the funds to receive help. There will be live music along with refreshments, food and vendors.
"We are so thankful for the support of our sponsors who make this event possible," said Glenn King, Freedom House executive director. "Generous supporters ... and the numerous individual donors, help us broaden our efforts saving lives and reuniting families. We are extremely grateful."

The entry fees for adults is $30 if registered in advance and $35 on Saturday. Children ages 6 to 12 are $10, and children under 6 may walk and run for free. Additional information on the event as well as registration information can be found online.
