An overturned tractor-trailer has closed down Route 22 near Routes 202-206 on June 9, 2017, according to the state Department of Transportation.
BRIDGEWATER - An overturned tractor-trailer closed all lanes on both sides of Route 22 near Routes 202-206 on Friday morning, according to the state Department of Transportation.
As of 9 a.m. only the left lanes on both sides of Route 22 remained closed.
The accident was reported around 7:15 a.m. Those at the scene are reporting the trailer overturned and the cab ended up over the divider. Police said lanes were closed in both directions on Route 22 near the Routes 202-206 interchange, located just south of the Bridgewater Commons.
Police advised drivers to avoid the area. As of 9:20 a.m., there were delays of 2 miles in both directions of Route 22 and on northbound Routes 202-206 approaching the interchange. The DOT said there are delays of about five minutes approaching the accident.
