Zach Pawlikowski, the son of Walter Pawlikowski and Audrey Sanford, received the DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award for excellence in academics, leadership and agricultural work experience.
Pawlikowski's significant experiences and accomplishments include being awarded Stellar Student of the Month three consecutive years, acceptance into a college level internship with a local molecular lab and serving as the Somerset County Vocational and Technical High School FFA Chapter President. Erik Fargo, Pawlikowski's agricultural education instructor at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School, nominated Zach for the award.
This year the DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award celebrates its 70th anniversary. Over these 70 years more than 168,000 high school seniors from across the country have received the Award, which has become a symbol for excellence and the school's highest agricultural honor.
As the winner of the 2017 Award, Zachary Pawlikowski's name will be recorded on a permanent plaque displayed at SCVTHS.
