BERNARDSVILLE - An early-morning fire heavily damaged the Station Restaurant and Bar in Bernardsville, according to a report on WABC.
The three-alarm fire broke out in the restaurant shortly before 3 a.m. Friday. According to the report, there were no injuries, but about 20 residents were left homeless.
According to the Bernards Township Regional Chamber of Commerce's Facebook page, Route 202 near the New Jersey Transit's Bernardsville station was closed while firefighters battled the blaze, and lanes remained closed as the morning commute began.
As of 7 a.m., Claremont Road is closed between Route 202 and Mill Street, according to the Bernardsville Police Department's Facebook page.
Those responding to the fire included the The Bernardsville Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company, as well as companies from Basking Ridge, Liberty Corner, Peapack-Gladstone, Far Hills and others.
