Police were called to the Fountain Motel Saturday night.
CLINTON TWP. -- Police were called to the Fountain Motel Saturday evening after receiving a report that a man was choking and hitting a woman who is 14 weeks pregnant.
The call came in at 6:20 p.m. during Saturday's blizzard, and as officers were on their way, Hunterdon County Communications advised that the 20-year-old woman was able to get a knife away from the man, but that he was breaking into the back window of the motel room, police said Monday.
Officers saw that the woman's lip was injured and found the man, a 19-year-old from Manville, by tracking his footprints in the snow behind the motel, police said.
