Matthew Mingle has been named the new superintendent for Warren Township schools.
WARREN -- The Warren Township Board of Education has announced that Matthew Mingle has been named superintendent of Warren Township Schools.
Mingle will receive his doctorate degree from Rutgers University this spring. He taught social studies at Ridge High School in Bernards Township and in the Montgomery Township School District before taking over as supervisor of social studies and the Reach program for Hillsborough Township Public Schools. He will come to Warren from Madison Public Schools, where he currently serves as assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction.
"We take great pride in appointing Matt Mingle to the position of Warren Township Superintendent," said board president Tia Allocco. "Matt is a highly motivated professional with particular expertise in communication, curriculum development and classroom instruction."
Mingle succeeds Tami Crader, who resigned last July to accept a position as superintendent in the Neptune Township School District. Elizabeth Nastus serves as interim superintendent. Mingle will take over his new position on July 1.
"The opportunity to join a community that believes in the power of a strong public school system is very exciting," Mingle said.
