2 N.J. men charged after cache of drugs, cash found, police say

The street value of the drugs found in Manville is nearly $15,000.

MANVILLE -- Acting on a tip, authorities have arrested two men who were allegedly in possession of more than four grams of cocaine, 63 Oxycodone pills, 57 Oxycontin pill and nearly $2,000 in cash, the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office announced Wednesday.

Travis Decker, 27, of Tuckerton, and Hernan Rosario, 27, of Paterson, were arrested Monday after authorities were told the pair would be in the area of  Marketplace at Manville in possession of cocaine and prescription pills, according to the release.

Early Monday Somerset County's Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force were told that two men would be arriving at the shopping center driving a black four-door Jeep Wrangler, police said.

At approximately 3 p.m. Monday detectives saw the Jeep Wrangler arrive, and, after approaching it, took Rosario and Decker into custody. Somerset County Sheriff's K-9 "Apex" was called in to check the vehicle, police said.

Based on Apex's reaction while sniffing the outside of the vehicle, a search warrant was obtained to check the interior of the Wrangler, as well to to check Rosario and Decker, according to the release.

Decker was allegedly found to be in possession four ounces of cocaine, 50 Oxycodone pills and 57 Oxycontin pills, two Suboxone strips and $267 in cash. Rosario allegedly had three grams of cocaine and $1,707 in cash, authorities reported.

A search of the vehicle allegedly yielded one gram of cocaine, 13 Oxycodone and drug paraphernalia (small zip-lock bags), according to the release.

Authorities said the estimated street value of the cocaine seized is $11,720, the
Oycodone pills $1,575, the Oxycontin pills $1,425 and the Suboxone strips $50.

Decker and Rosario were each charged with second-degree possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, third-degree possession of Oxycodone with intent to distribute, third-degree possession of Oxycontin with intent to distribute, third-degree possession of Suboxone and possession of drug paraphernalia, a disorderly persons offense.

Decker is being held in Somerset County Jail on $150,000 cash-only bail and Rosario is being held on $75,000 cash-only bail.
