Snow is causing some traffic delays in Somerset County this morning.
Bands of snow showers are moving through Somerset County, causing some traffic problems Friday morning, particularly in higher elevations.
As of 8 a.m., there are minor to heavy delays on Interstate 78 or 287 and on Routes 22, 202 or 206 in Somerset County.
According to 511nj.org, there are weather-related delays on the eastbound side of Interstate 78 near exit 43 (Diamond Hill Road) in Berkeley Heights. There are also delays on eastbound Interstate 78 between exit 40 (Route 31) in Warren Township and exit 45 (Glenside Avenue) in Summit.
Somerset County delayed openings
Clean-up is also continuing after a tractor-trailer hauling garbage overturned early this morning on eastbound Interstate 78 east of exit 29 (Interstate 287, Routes 202-206) in Bedminster. The left shoulder remains closed.Green Brook police report this morning that Warrenville Road, Washington Avenue and Rock Road west are closed north of Route 22 this morning.
