Teacher allegedly asked the minor to masturbate during a video chat.
SOMERSET -- A Bridgewater-Raritan High School music teacher was arrested and charged on Tuesday with enticing a teen he met online to send sexually explicit images of himself for money, authorities said.
David N. Adams, 29, of Branchburg was charged with one count of online enticement of a minor to engage in criminal sexual activity, U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman announced on Tuesday. He was held without bail.
Adams allegedly solicited the pictures from a 13-year-old boy who lives out of state. In addition to the pictures, Adams wanted to engage in live video chat sessions during which the boy engaged in sexually explicit conduct while Adams watched and directed the boy's actions, the report said.

According to the complaint, from June 2014 through September 2014, Adams was a resident of Morris County and taught at Eisenhower Middle School in Roxbury, Morris County.
During this time, he allegedly communicated with the teen through text and video chats after meeting through an online gaming community, the complaint said. On Sept. 3, Adams allegedly asked to masturbate during a video chat, the complaint said. He allegedly paid the teen between $5 and $25 through PayPal for the various images, the complaint said.
The charge of online enticement carries a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison, a maximum potential penalty of life in prison and a $250,000 fine.Fishman said the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Branchburg police and the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office assisted in the investigation.
