Man allegedly assaulted the girl during a sleepover at her home.
BRIDGEWATER -- A township man arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl during a sleepover at her Manville home has been indicted.
Arthur Wildgoose, Jr., 32, was indicted on Thursday on first-degree aggravated sexual assault and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child. His bail was set at $200,000 cash-only.
On Nov. 15, 2014, Manville police were alerted to an alleged improper relationship between Wildgoose and the girl, authorities said. The girl's mother discovered romantic text messages between the pair, authorities said.29 women videotaped in bathroom win suit
On Dec. 29, the victim told detectives from the Somerset County's Sex Crime and Child Abuse Unit that the text messages had escalated to a sexual assault during a sleepover at her home, authorities said.
Wildgoose reportedly later apologized to the girl and made her take a Plan B emergency contraceptive the following day, authorities said.
