NORTH PLAINFIELD -- This photo from the 1950s shows the Planters Peanuts store at 855 Route 22 in North Plainfield.
Built after the closing of the Blue Star Drive-In movie theater, it was one of approximately 100 retail locations run by the peanut company.
The site eventually closed and was replaced by FabricLand in 1961, which continues to do business at the location to this day.
