A 21-year-old hiker was rescued from the Sourland Mountain Preserve in Hillsborough on Tuesday, May 31, 2016.
HILLSBOROUGH - A 21-year-old woman who injured her wrist was rescued from the Sourland Mountain Preserve on Tuesday, police announced in a news release.
Lauren Williams called 9-1-1 at approximately 1:34 p.m. stating she had fallen and injured her wrist. Township police, along with the Hillsborough Township Rescue Squad unit 79, located Williams who was carried down the trail by the rescue squad.
She was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center Somerset with no life threatening injuries, according to the news release.
Hillsborough Fire Companies 36 and 38 also responded.
