BRIDGEWATER -- A teen who was the subject of a manhunt after allegedly taking part in carjacking a man at gunpoint in a township corporate parking deck has been arrested and extradited back to New Jersey from Pennsylvania, officials said.
Cody Masiello, 18, and a 17-year-old juvenile allegedly approached a man while he sat in his Toyota Corolla on July 18 and carjacked him, authorities previously said.
The juvenile was arrested at his residence on July 29 but Masiello remained at large, authorities previously said.
Pennsylvania State Police troopers arrested Masiello outside of a Spring Street residence in Saylorsburg, PA, on Aug. 5 at around 5:45 p.m., Acting Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson said in a news release Wednesday.
The release didn't state how authorities tracked Masiello to Pennsylvania.
Masiello waived extradition back to New Jersey on Aug. 10 and was returned to the state on Wednesday, the release stated. He's being held in Somerset County Jail with bail yet to be set, the released stated.

During the alleged carjacking, the juvenile knocked on the driver's door window, pointed a black handgun at the victim and demanded he get out of his vehicle, authorities have said. The pair then entered the vehicle and sped off, authorities have said.
Seaside Heights police located the vehicle on July 23, allegedly finding the juvenile, Masiello and two other men inside, authorities have said. The juvenile and Masiello matched the description given by the carjacking victim, according to an officials.
Both told police they lived in Bridgewater, but each gave authorities conflicting stories on how they happened to have the car. Authorities executed a search warrant of their residences and reportedly discovered a set of keys that the victim identified as his, authorities have said.
The juvenile had been held at the Middlesex County Juvenile Detention Center.
