Many NJ.com readers reacted strongly to the editorial "Those who worry about Trump's America should organize," which suggested that readers concerned with the direction the country might take under the Trump administration should "organize, advocate and donate."

You lost. Get over it.

The comment by edguy aptly sums up reaction to the editorial "Those who worry about Trump's America should organize," which suggested that readers concerned with the direction the country might take under the Trump administration should "organize, advocate and donate."

"If the shoe was on the other foot the media would be up in arms calling the protestors all kinds of names?" the comment continues. "It is done over finished. Trump is going to be President. In four years put up a candidate that is not a crooked criminal and maybe you will win."

From buckshot-00: "The fear-mongering of the Times of Trenton Editorial Board is over the top. Their divisive messages will no longer work. We are a united people of all colors, all genders and all religions. ... Our Constitutional Republic will survive and thrive. You are welcome to join us. But please leave your disgusting vitriol behind."

The 25 'Trumpiest' towns in New Jersey

Blue Shok has had it up to here with the voices of discontent: "Unfortunately the left has spawned a bunch of violent, unemployed, protesting imbeciles. Enough is enough. Get to work and follow the laws."

Similarly, getagrip writes, "The left is in high gear on fear mongering while also continuing their often baseless rhetoric. Neither Trump or Clinton were for me desirable leaders for the country but Trump has been elected and some degree of willingness to try to work towards the common good should be tried."

Some commenters took exception when we described Stephen Bannon, executive chairman of Breitbart News and Donald Trump's choice as senior advisor, as someone who espouses racism and white supremacy.

"The libs who are going to do whatever they can to stop Trump's agenda because they couldn't stop him are resorting to making lies about his appointments in hopes of Trump changing his mind," says 3rdWorldInfestation. "The Breitbart guy has been called a white supremacist and an anti-Semite. No proof has been provided other than hearsay."

To which Stt332 counters, "Left or right, I'd have hoped that at least all Americans could agree that a white supremacist should be nowhere near the White House, but I guess that was too much to ask for."

A poster named noprofessionalpols wonders why we in the press are so quick to jump on the anti-Trump bandwagon: "I'm amazed that the media is so busy trashing the Trump administration yet it hardly exists at this point. It reminds me of the idiots who were convinced Obama was an America-hating Marxist before he was inaugurated."

From Y-man comes this: "I have a better idea. Stop whining and let's see what he does as President."

And CommonSenseConservative urged neighbors to express their concerns in concrete ways: "I think it's good for every citizen to donate their time to help the needy. Donating money is lazy. You want to help ... volunteer for Habitat for Humanity or a local soup kitchen.
