Two N.J. men killed in an early morning head-on crash

The accident occurred at 4:30 a.m. in East Brunswick.

EAST BRUNSWICK - Two men were killed early Tuesday morning in a head-on crash in the township, according to police. 

The accident occurred at 4:30 a.m. on Ryders Lane, just south of Tices Lane, and closed the road for five hours as police investigated, East Brunswick Lt. Sean Goggins said. 

Tahir Syed, 46, of Somerset, was pronounced dead at the scene, Goggins said. 

The other driver, Denis Moshkov, 42, of East Brunswick, was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to police.

Ryders Lane was closed just between Milltown Road and Tices Lane until 9:30 a.m.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
