Roughly an hour and a half after police and members of the Somerset County S.W.A.T. team closed Finderne Avenue near Route 22 and Route 28, a suspect is in custody.
Finderne Avenue is closed between Route 28 and Foothill Road. BRIDGEWATER TWP -- A suspect is in custody after a nearly hour-and-a-half standoff at a Finderne Avenue residence, according to police at the scene.
Police and members of the Somerset County S.W.A.T. team closed Finderne Avenue near Route 22 and Route 28 earlier this afternoon.
Police first responded to 195 Finderne Ave. for a person who had barricaded himself inside the home.
A Nixle alert was issued at 4:27 p.m., and the road closure was lifted shortly before 6 p.m. Bridgewater Township Police had no further information as of 5:45 p.m.
