Woman claims an ATM machine stole her $200 and she was breaking into it to get her money back.
GREEN BROOK -- A Dunellen woman was arrested after she exacted her version of revenge on an ATM she claimed stole $200 from her.
Yulia Panella, 22, was charged with third-degree burglary and disorderly person after she allegedly used a hammer and screw driver to break into an ATM.
On Dec. 1, police were dispatched to a TD Bank located at 1000 Washington Ave. in Green Brook on a report of an individual breaking into an ATM, according to an affidavit filed in state Superior Court in Somerset County.

According to the affidavit, when police arrived they allegedly witnessed Panella inside the front door of the bank with the front of the ATM open. Panella had a screw drive on her and there was a hammer on ground near the ATM.
During an interview with police, Panella claimed she put her ATM card in the machine and it stole her $200. She told police she was breaking into the ATM machine to get her money back, according to the affidavit.
Panella is being held in the Somerset County Jail. There was no bail information immediately available.
